Review: Let it snow

    Hei alle!!

Today the review is going to be in english.

I got a chance to read Let it Snow before its release, thanks to the publishers and NetGalley  and here comes my sincere review.

    Title: Let it Snow
    Author: Erica Ridley
    Publisher: Intrepid Reads
     Media: ebook
    Number of pages: 200 (aprox.)
    Goodreads profile: link here

Review:

Let it snow is a light and funny contemporary paranormal romance.
The author blended modern and medieval times with humor.

Lance is a adventurer who has a bounty on his head. Without much time to rise a large amount of money to get rid of this threat, he chooses to try his luck breaking an ancient curse from the icebound Castle Cavanaugh and retrieve the Blossom ....
Princess Marigold is trapped alone in the castle for six hundred years, occasional seeing some adventurous who were converted in tiny figurines a few hours latter. Somehow she has managed not only to survive but also to keep herself sane and smart.

When this two meet each other initial shock becomes empathy and sorrow for the other situation.
Instead of freaking out the whole about being caged, Lance decides that he will bring a little happiness to Marigold, after all she doesn't have a fun time for a very long period. And soon they are liking each other.
Both characters are very likable, Lance with his bravure and kindness to the Princess, and Marigold with her stronge inner strength and sweet heart. Their romance is soft and its development fits the rithme of the story.
Is it really impossible to get out of the castle?
Well, he promises set her free, she doesn't believe that it is possible, and reading their adventure I had funny and pleasant moments.

If you like having fun while getting touched with a sweet romance, you will probably like this book. Just note that are a few hot scene in it.

Review: UnEarthed

    Hei alle!!

Today the review is going to be in english.

I received a free e-copy of UnEarthed from its publishers through NetGalley for a sincere review.

    Title: UnEarthed
    Author: Rebecca Bloomer
    Publisher: Odyssey Books
     Media: ebook
    Number of pages: 160 (aprox.)
    Goodreads profile: link here

Resenha:

Unearthed is a fast turn-page adventure, with a little of romance and a lot of good humor.

Jodi is a teenage who is moving out with her mother to Mars, where her daddy lives. Jodi doesn't like the idea until she is introduced to how it really is to live in Mars.
The human colony in Mars name is Anphobos, and it is basically inhabited and developed for and to scientists and technogeeks. For a hacker like Jodi, this can be a paradise!
Whithin the dome that protects Anphobos, live is clean, organized, envorimental sustainable and with amazing technologies. However, the colony isn't able to supply all products yet, needing some supplies form mother Earth, and that is now a problem, since the high taxation of imports and exports.
Anphobosites (inhabitants of Anphobos) want a fair trade and more independence. While the majority seek a pacific way to achieve this, other are read to fight and worst, to initiate the fight.
For Jodi this is a new planet, a new culture, a new life, but she get herself involved in old and very human contests.

I enjoyed the world created by Bloomer in Anphobos. It was realistic and I could believe that if (or when) we get on Mars, the human colony would be like the one that she described in this bool.
The writing was good and the plot was interesting, a well balanced young adult sci-fi, with funny and light moments, a touch of romance and some thriller. I'll definitely recommend it.

Resenha: The Call of Agon - Book 1 of the Children of Telm

    Título: The Call of Agon
Série: The Children of Telm - book 1
    Autor: Dean F. Wilson
    Editora: Dioscuri Press
    Formato: paperback
    Edição: 1ª ed. - 2013
    Qde páginas: 381
    Idioma: inglês

Review:

The world worships a different god now, but it is threatened by a ancient evil. The god Telm is dead, and despite his great amount of bastards, children generated with mortal women, only a few had survived these times of uncertainty.
Ifferon is a Telm`s child and was supposed to ensure that his father legacy would remain. However Ifferon`s fear made him hide himself in an isolated monastery, where he though nobody would know who he really is.
The Beast Agon`s force plague the world  and it wants to vanquish any possible threat to Agon`s reappearance. Leading it to hunt every last children of Telm.
After many years, Ifferon`s fragile peace  collapse, the coast where he lives is attacked and the monastery is ruined. In the middle of the caos, he escapes with two different companions.
This new group travels along dangers to find guidance and  shelter, but along the way they find delays, enemies, urge, new fellowships and the knowledge that they must help others.
The time is running out and the window to fight the evil before he regained full power is small. It is time to Ifferon put fear aside and fight for his and his friends live, time to save the humanity`s freedom.
The book has an interesting story, with some original elements, although I found the write a little hard to follow at the beginning, but after a while I got used to it.
Ifferon, Yavün and Elithéa were my favorites characters, well constructed, with fears, faults, strength and pride, and space to personal growth. Délin is a typical knight, in my opinion, so it is easy to like him and understand his actions. But I disliked very much Herr`Don, I wanted to shut him up a number of times.
The final part of the book was the best one for me, with actions, mystery, surprises and a good amount of `I want to know what will happen next`.
I recommend it for the ones who likes god`s mythology , fantasy and stories when the world and humanity are in danger.
    It's a 3,5 stars for me.
